SOLD Fresh 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle
This car was completed by Big 3 Performance in the late summer of 2020. The car roller was purchased locally (as a rust-free southern car). The car has all original sheet metal minus new fenders, and roof skin (sunroof hole had to go!). I will bullet point car build.
- Rust free body / original floors / original trunk / quarters original as well as trunk drops etc.
- GLASSTEK 4” hinged cowl hood / GLASSTEK front and rear bumpers
- New roof skin (professionally spot welded on like factory!)
- Body work completed in 2019 with HOT ROD satin black finish
- All body weatherstripping and rubbers new and installed as they should be.
- New windshield and rear glass / All glass 30% tinted by extreme audio in Green Bay.
- All new door panels / rear seat delete looks like it came factory / Racing bucket seats with movable brackets, dash pad is mint.
- All new door handles, remote mirror, SS trim, locks, ignition.
- New grill clips and fastener kits (dash, body, etc)
- Gauge cluster restored (everything works, high beam indicator, etc.)
- New factory replacement complete wiring harnesses front to rear.
- Dual horns
- Speckled trunk floor as factory
- INTERSTATE deep cycle new battery / billet holder / battery on off switch installed for inspection/ no battery draws on car with switch on
- All lights and indicators work as they should. Speedo reads fast at this time
- 540 cu.in. Goodwin Competition “PUMP GAS” not race fuel engine fitted with Dart pro 1 ported cylinder heads, name brand FORGED rotating assembly, All ARP fasteners throughout, stud girdle, hydraulic roller camshaft (marine custom grind for idle vacuum with power brakes and high valvetrain life), 1050 polished dominator 2 circuit, billet fuel log with gauge, air pan fitted to seal to hood,
- Nitrous oxide cheater system with upgrade -6 feed line, billet bottle brackets, heater, gauge, switches and relays as needed
- ALL EVANS coolant in system with new hoses, belts, brackets, and pulleys.
- Dave Baeten TH400 w/trans brake / ATI stall converter with nitrous ballooning plate / sent back to tighten up after union groove runs, Tightend 5-600 rpm. (engine makes a ton of torque!)
- All new Heavy duty slip yoke 1350 jointed 3.5” Machine service driveshaft from Green Bay.
- Mark Williams spool w/35 spline axles, New 41:10 pro gear set and crush sleeve eliminator. All new high shock fluid
- Factory front disc brakes and new rear drum brakes / brakes stop great and pedal travel is like factory. Front wheel bearings new with seals (set properly!) New brake hardlines and master.
- Power steering, new pump and lines
- 3.5 stainless custom x-piped exhaust system / 3.5 flow master (2 chamber traditional Flowmaster sound!) 3.5” turn downs before axle.
- New fuel cell, new stainless lines, new 2000hp Aeromotive fuel pump and regulator.
- New 15x10 weld rear rims, 15x3.5 front weld rims (ALL BALANCED) car comes with extra 8” wide rear WELD matching wheels for more street able tires? LOL
- New tires MICKEY Thompson 29.5x9.0x15. 26.0x4.5x15 front runner.
- CAR HAS 7 total passes, chassis dyno time, under 100 miles street miles.
- Alignment complete and professionally 4 cornered scaled
- NEW Competition engineering front shocks and drag springs, New Strange rear double adjustable shocks
- Fully adjustable rear 4 bar system UMI (no unbolting for adjustments!) Correct pinion angle
- Lokar throttle return and cable set up. All AEROQUIP fittings throughout!
- Seat belts are used and are expired but who cares!
- B&M quick stick set up properly with trans brake button on housing of shifter
- Dash mounted toggles with relay center and power distribution center, Switch positions are: Fuel pump, Cooling fan override, NOS, NOS heater, Purge momentary button.
- MSD billet distributor, MSD 6AL box, MSD retard module, MSD shift light.
- New MSD plug wire set, plug wire holders, heat boots as needed on close contact headers.
- 7 passes (have all video and time slips) at close tracks happened as follows: GREAT LAKES 1st time out. 1st pass 10.75 @123.52. 60 ft @1.49 then 2nd pass @ GLD with 150 hp Nitrous 10.109 @132.11 (track prep was good but rev limiter to low at 6500 rpm as well as shift points to low) 60 ft. @ 1.46.…
Now to Kaukauna’s crappy prepped track (closer for testing anyway and was a bracket 1/8 set up) 1st 3 back to back runs no nitrous just testing 60s, passes include:1.60 -1.53 sixty foots and best 1/8 @ 6.8 @ 100.99 mph. Piss poor track keep in mind. 60’s at the groove were 1.49 NA. Got bored with bracket stuff and asked to switch to time runs, Nitrous on to a 10.018 @ 134.25 then raised rev limiter to 6800 and higher shift points to a 9.95 @135.05 with a 1.502 60 ft. Doing the math now sets that ET to a 9.80 on a quick book nitrous tune up @ 150hp. Videoed runs show body collapsing over tire after initial hit. This car will run 9.5’s if we keep it easy!
- Final clean up and detail happening as you ready this and car will be put to storage for the winter of 2020 unless sold this fall.
